Scrittore, illustratore e formatore. Nato a Portici (Na), dove ha vissuto fino all’età di vent’anni, si è trasferito a Novara sul finire degli anni Settanta, dove ha lavorato come educatore in una comunità alloggio. Ha ricevuto diversi premi, tra i quali il «Premio Andersen», nel 2012 per il miglior libro oltre i 15 anni, e nel 2015 come illustratore. Nel 2017 è tra i vincitori del «Premio Letteratura Ragazzi» della Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cento. Nel 2018 ha vinto il 61° Premio Bancarellino.
